Pretzels


1 packet dry yeast
1 1/4 cup warm water
4 cups flour
1 TBSP sugar                                                                                   
1 tsp salt
1 egg
Kosher salt

Combine all ingredients, except egg and kosher salt.  Knead batter until smooth.  Break into balls and roll into long ropes.  Bend and twist into pretzel shapes.  Place on a foil-lined cookie sheet.  Brush with egg and sprinkle with salt, parmesan cheese, etc.  Bake for 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees.
